Description:
At
the far end of the town’s newly laid out cenotaph garden, opposite
the old war memorial, this 4 metre long seat overlooks a tranquil
river valley. The word ‘PEACE’ is engraved into either side of the central slab with it’s
translation in German, French, Russian, Dutch, Italian and Hebrew on
the sides of the seat blocks. Above, in a stainless steel arc, is
the age-old symbol of peace – the olive branch.
