Description: Workshops were held in both local schools and the community centre to create circular clay tiles on a theme of wildlife. These were to be fixed into circular recesses machined into the wide ends of 50mm oak boards, cut on a taper. A total of 20 eight foot long boards were held together in the form of a fan by fixing them, from the rear side, through 8 x 4 ft sheets of 1 inch marine ply. The seat which was added to the front, and adorned with rectangular tiles, was angled to 120 degrees, with heavy galvanised steel brackets to make the whole rigid and stable.
