Description:
This 1.5 ton block of hard sandstone was carved to create a
sculptural entrance feature for a newly opened park dedicated to
police sergeant Bill Forth, a native of the village, who was fatally
stabbed while on duty in 1995. A
bronze plaque describing the man and his life was set into the
central recess.
