Description:
A series of clay workshops were run within a primary school which
had particular concerns about getting older pupils to start thinking
about what they might eventually work towards in the way of an
occupation. As well as producing tiles depicting how they imagined
themselves in their chosen career, each child also made a ‘star’
tile (the school’s motto is “Everyone a Star”), and these were used
to create a huge question mark across which the question is asked.
Across the rough rear face are the names of some 50 trades and
professions, recessed into the stone in weatherproof stoneware
ceramics.
