Title:   ‘Five Stiles for the Fell’

Location:   Cockfield Fell, Co. Durham, 2002

Materials:   Elm 

Description:  Carved and burned into pairs of seasoned Elm boards of up to 450mm in width and 2m tall, the designs of the five stiles were based on the historical associations that each had with its particular site on the long boundary of the fell.
