Title:  ‘Allensford Walk’

Location:  Consett, Co Durham, 2007

Materials:  Buff Sandstone

Description:  A pair of entrance features to mark both ends of a newly opened walkway on the edge of the town. One shows the leaves of ten different trees found along the walk – oak, ash, beech, sycamore, holly, horse chestnut, willow, birch, hawthorn, and elm. The other provides a scene of the valley with the well known viaduct in the background. Tiles made by pupils of the local secondary school.
